Discovery全新節目《建築巨擘：陶朱隱園》首次走入曾被 CNN 評選為城市九大新建築之一的「陶朱隱園」，揭開這座世界級永續建築地標，如何在建築、人文精神、藝術、綠能、工法等不同領域結合永續精神並做出突破，成為全球未來建築標竿！ 歷經11年的建設，陶朱隱園從無人敢挑戰的大膽原型，搖身一變成為永續建築地標，以尊重自然的友善生態方式實踐各種被認為不可能的技術工法，從宛如構成生命密碼的DNA雙螺旋，到可抵抗2,500年地震回歸週期的高度防震規格，工程難度堪稱世界之最。加上超量雨水回收、6座風力發電和太陽能板等再生能源設備及可吸碳的大量喬灌木成就的垂直森林藝術建築。這棟建築從保護人與環境的角度，帶動建築業納入節能減碳及吸碳思維，扭轉氣候危機，成為繼台北101、臺中國家歌劇院後，再度躍上國際的台灣建築之光。
This is the first time that Taozhu Hermitage has been selected as one of the nine new buildings in the city by CNN. After 11 years of construction, Taozhu Hermitage has transformed itself from a daring prototype to a permanent landmark, and has been considered impossible to implement techniques that respect nature.The vertical forest art building is made up of excess rainwater recovery, six renewable energy facilities such as wind power and solar panels, and a large amount of carbon-absorbing trees and shrubs.From the perspective of protecting people and the environment, this building has helped the construction industry to incorporate energy conservation and carbon absorption into its efforts to reverse the climate crisis.
